Welcome at Art of pythons.

Our focus of interest is to keep and breed the attractive and amazing Python Reticulatus and Python Regius (commonly know as reticulated python and ball python, respectively). The possibilities about coloration and pattern of these species are apparently never-ending and this is what we really like.

We work exclusively with a small quantity but high quality pythons to produce captive bred morphs in a variety of colors and patterns. We no longer keep any other species of python or boa constrictor. Concentrating exclusively on reticulated and ball pythons has enabled us to focus on selectively breed for special traits, sizes and calm disposition animals. For us, this is the art of pythons…..

Python reticulatus is the king of all constrictors. This is the longest python and one of the most beautifully colored. The eyes are bright yellow to golden orange. The body has a regular pattern of narrow dark brown saddles outlined with black isolating rounded to diamond-shaped areas of yellowish background color. Its large size enables it to feed on most mammals and birds in tits range. The range extends from southern Burma through southern China over the entirety of Southeast Asia. The species continues through the Asian islands, including Sumatra, the Philippines, Sulawesi (Celebes), and Borneo, as well as most of the small island in the area, eastward to Timor and the Flores (Walls, 1998). The reticulated python is most common near large bodies of water. It hides by day and comes out to feed at dusk and dawn. A good climber, it is a t home on stout branches in jungle trees, but it more commonly is seen near lakes, rivers and waterways.

Our retic collection has evolved to include some extreme mutations. Because our interest is to bring you captive bred superdwarf morphs in a variety of colors and patterns, we are working on moving some traits present in normal-sized reticulated pythons to smaller reticulated pythons.

Python regius is one of the most popular of the python species kept in captivity today. This is due to their relatively small dimension, calm nature and amazing color variety. The basic color of the Ball python is dark brown to almost black and bears a distinct pattern which is bright yellow in young specimens but rather beige in adults. The eye is dark and the head is broad and quite distinct from the neck, while the snout appears broadly rounded. The Ball python is a snake of western Africa, extending from Senegal and the Gambia southward to Ghana and the Nigeria area and then eastward in a narrow band over the savannas to the Sudan and northern Uganda (Walls, 1998). It typically is a species of savanna edges, occupying termite hills and rodent borrows during the day and hunting for rodents at night.

Our balls collection has evolved to include different color and pattern mutations. Our interest is to bring you captive bred and healthy animal in a variety of colors and patterns,
